Some Salat Prayers
SUBHANAKA
سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ وَتَعالَى جَدُّكَ (وَجَلَّ ثَنَآؤُكَ) وَلآَ إِلٰهَ غَيْرُكَ
Subhaanaaka l-lahumma wa bi hamdika wa tabaaraka s-muka wa t`aala jaduka (wa jalla thanaa’uka) wa laa ilaha ghayruka
Allah, You are Perfect with Your hamd! Blessed is Your Name! Exhaulted and Great is Your Existence (Your Praise is unprecievably great). There is none besides You in possession of Uluhiyyah.
AT-TAHIYYATU
أَلتَّحِيَّاتُ ِللهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ؛ أَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِىُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ؛ أَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللهِ الصَّالِحِينَ؛ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لآَ إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ
At-taheeyatu lillahi wa s-salawatu wa t-tayyibatu as-salaamu `alayka ayyuhaa n-nabiyu wa rahma tullahi wa barakaatuhu as-salaamu `alayna wa `alaa `ibaadi l-Llahi his-saliheen ashhadu anna Muhammadan `abduhu wa rasooluhu
All reverence, prayers and appeals and the purest worship is for Allah and all is according to Allah’s Uluhiyyah. Oh Nabi! Salam! May Allah’s grace and propserity be upon you! May Salam be upon us and the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no God! There is only Allah!... And I bear witness that Muhammad is Allah’s servant and Rasul!
SALAWATS (SALLI – BARIK)
أَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلَىاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَىاٰلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ*
أَللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ عَلَىاٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَىاٰلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ*
Allahumma salli `alaa Muhammadin wa `alaa ali Muhammad kama sallayta `alaa Ibraheema wa `alaa ali Ibraheema Innaka Hamidun majid
Allahumma baarik `alaa Muhammadin wa `alaa ali Muhammad kama baarakta `alaa Ibraheema wa `alaa ali Ibraheema Innaka Hamidun majid
Oh Allah! As You bestowed Your salat to Abraham and to Abraham’s family and household, so too bestow salat to Muhammad and Muhammad’s family and household!
Indeed, You are Hamid and Majid.
Oh Allah! As You blessed Abraham and Abraham’s family and household, so too bless Muhammad and Muhammad’s family and household.
Indeed, You are Hamid and Majid.
103. AL-ASR
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
وَالْعَصْرِ {1} إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ {2} إِلَّا الَّذِينَ اٰمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ {3
A`oodhu biLlaahi min al-shayṭaani l-rajeem
Bismi Llaahi l-raḥmaani l-raḥeem
1. Wa l-`asri 2. Inna l-insaana lafee khusrin 3. ‘Illaa l-latheena ‘aamanoo wa `amiloo l-ṣṣaaliḥaati watawaaṣaw bi l-ḥaqqi watawaaṣaw bi l-ṣṣabri
By the one who is denoted by the name Allah (who created my being with His Names in accord with the meaning of the letter ‘B’), the Rahman, the Rahim.
1. By that time (the life span of man),
2. Indeed, mankind is in loss!
3. Except for those who have believed (in their essential reality) and fulfilled the requisites of faith, advised each other the Truth, and advised patience upon one another!
105. AL-FIL
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِ {1} أَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ كَيْدَهُمْ فِي تَضْلِيلٍ {2
وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ {3} تَرْمِيهِمْ بِحِجَارَةٍ مِنْ سِجِّيلٍ {4} فَجَعَلَهُمْ كَعَصْفٍ مَأْكُولٍ {5
A`oodhu biLlaahi min al-shayṭaani l-rajeem
Bismi Llaahi l-raḥmaani l-raḥeem
1. Alam tara kayfa f`ala rabbuka bi’aṣḥaabi l-feeli 2. Alam yaj`al kaydahum fee taẓleelin 3. Wa arsala `alayhim ṭayran abaabeela 4. Tarmeehim bi-ḥijaaratin mmin sijjeelin 5. Faja`alahum ka`aṣfin maakoolin
By the one who is denoted by the name Allah (who created my being with His Names in accord with the meaning of the letter ‘B’), the Rahman, the Rahim.
1. Did you not see how your Rabb dealt with the people of the elephant?
2. Did He not make their plan worthless?
3. And disclosed upon them the birds in flocks (the Common Swift).
4. Who threw upon them stones of hard clay.
5. Until they became like chewed straw.
